The panoramic viewpoint, up by the Treadwheel gives a magnificent view of the site, is a good picnic area or meeting point to exchange ideas and impressions.

Poetry could be written as a result of contemplating this beautiful view – consider colours, sounds, atmosphere, feelings evoked.  Also for the less confident writer, they could start by painting or drawing the landscape before them.  Once it was complete, they could think of words to describe what they see and how they feel.  This could then give confidence to start writing prose or poetry.  So the picture comes first, and then the writing…often the writing is completed and the illustration follows, sometimes almost as an afterthought - the choice is yours.
